James Lippy
This is not the first time one of James Lippy’s song are under the spotlight of The BBC Music. With the likes of MrRandomSong and MrSuicideSheep, this fresh drum and bass track surely have this special touch that differentiate a cool song from a real music sensation. With its catchy intro, Unfold will take you in a mighty journey where you can’t expect less but to be fulfilled with greatness.
The drop reminds how important the drum is in a song as the bassline comes toward the beat to create the majestic soundscape of a drum and bass atmosphere. Not the mention an awesome work on every other sphere of the song, be it synths or mastering.
James is a UK producer from West Midlands, in England. Only 16 years old, James Lippy approaches his first year of production soon and already have some very nice songs behind him (Before The Storm, a song uploaded for the opening of this website, is a good example). FL Studio and the so popular Massive VST are what James uses to translate his ideas into a concrete digital media, so you better not say something bad about them!

I agree, a little too repetitive. Try to concentrate on the three different layers of the melody. There is a delayed one that is really less loud but still the mix of the three is interesting.

It’s alright. The chiptune sound is pretty cool, but the beat and harmony are WAY to repetitive. It goes on like this until about 2:52 when you get something different, but by the time that happens the damage has already been done.
