Finally managed to get this on The BBC Music! Today’s promoted song is “Wide Eyes” by the dubstep duo Dr.Ozi. This is not the first time I feature those two guys : If you’ve followed all my uploads, the last track I presented from them was the remix of Chris Brown song “Look at me now”. As most remixes will be removed (due to copyrights issues) I felt the need to share with you another one of their amazing production. “Wide Eyes” already received the support of NZDubstep, TronDbstp, BizzEpicMusic and DUBnutOfficial just to name a few. Now featured on The BBC Music, this original mix, in my opinion, truly mirrors Dr.Ozi potential to create harmonic sonority, balancing between pure filth and melodic samples. The touch brought by Rebeca Ortiz with the vocal definitely levels the song up from “another dubstep song” to a true original Dr.Ozi release.

You don’t know this duo? Dr.Ozi are two guys, Nix Chohan & Christian Boyd, from Ontario, Canada. In the heart of Toronto, Dr.Ozi has entranced their listeners with mesmerizing and speaker shaking beats. Producers Nix Chohan and Christian Boyd met in high school, where they discussed their passions for music. They both produced with more basic programs on underground sites, which combined musical talent to create their sound and gain their fan-base. After getting on their feet in the music business through producing with bands and different genre’s of music, Nix took the time to start producing dubstep and electro music more seriously. With the help of Christian they started working with sound designing and different programs to form their own dubstep that would turn heads and get themselves known. The name ‘Dr.Ozi’ comes from a character that was created by the two as a mascot which has served beneficial for their music and has gotten their red crosses known while they play. They have gradually evolved over the years, so using the experience they have gained, they have created a new sound that is appealing to their listeners.
