Riviera is a mix between hard electro, progressive house and jump-up, creating this unique atmosphere that is clearly of Deaf Professor’s own.

Deaf Professor is a talented artist coming down from Guelph in Canada is a 21 years old electronic producer that started his career not about one year ago. Deaf Professor, scene name of Mike Nelson, always got interested in the recording, engineering, and production of music. He uses the popular software Logic Pro 9 with a Native Instruments MIDI Keyboard, Mackie monitors and a Yamaha MW12 CX to produce his music. If any of you want tips on these gears, you should probably ask him! Inspired by artists like Zeds Dead, Deadmau5 and Flux Pavillion, Deaf Professor fed his talents with widely renowned producers. As you probably already noticed if you followed that last post of Deaf Professor, Cutter!, Mike doesn’t bound himself to a particular genre of music. Nevertheless, his productions are mostly electronic, ranging from electro-house to dubstep and drum and bass. In every songs, Deaf Professor tries to incorporate his past influences, combining melodic harmonies with heavy bass lines to create and design sounds that you can associate to Deaf Professor.
